Our client, Malta based EASA licenced air operator focused on expeditionary mission and aero-medical services, aircraft management and CAMO services, charter and cargo services, is looking for Operations Controller / Flight Dispatcher.
Candidate will report to Ground Operations Manager.
Responsibilities include:
You will work a shift system providing cover to the operations programme through a combination of office and remote on call cover.

You will work a shift system providing cover to the operations programme through a combination of office and remote on call cover.
The Operations Controller is responsible to the DGO for the following:
- The preparation of flight programa in order to meet Company requirements, including the scheduling of training flights in all aspects.
- Ensuring the provision of any information required before a flight including, in particular, current weather reports and up-to-date NOTAMs, and notifying aircrew of any potential hazard to safety.
- Preparation of pre-flight documentation, Crew Briefs, airfield, customs and diplomatic clearances where required, applying for slots, provision of fuel, handling services and hotel accommodation.
- Knowledge of EASA regulations, especially Flight Duty Limitations.
- Ability to read aerodrome charts and use of the Jeppesen Software.
- Assist Sales department with Flight Feasibility and Aircraft Performances
- The co-ordination of all signals relating to flight delay / re-routes to third party service provides such as ground handlers, fuel suppliers, caterers and airport authorities.
- Maintaining a Watch Log, recording all incidents, actions, communication, etc, relevant to the flight programme, and the preparation of a written, accurate Handover / Status Report for the oncoming shift.
- Maintaining a close liaison with Engineering on all matters concerning the continued serviceability of the Company`s fleet with specific regard to maintaining contract commitments and schedules.
Ideal candidate’s profile:
- Have a sound understanding of world wide flight operations procedures.
- Be trained in flight planning and dispatch - preferably with a certificate / dispatch license
- Computer literate
- Fully conversant with spoken and written English - Malta Office
- Living in Malta with rights to Work in EU
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Highly motivated and flexible
- Strong decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Well organized, with excellent time management
- Ability to prioritize
- Knowledge of PPS Flight Planning System / APG / FL3XX is beneficial but not a must.
