Crewing Operator

Well known foreign shipping company based in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Crewing Operator to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the proper manning of a number of our ships.

Responsibilities:
 Organizing crew changes and making the necessary travel arrangements
 Applying for the seafarers' documents with the flag authorities
 Issuing employment contracts for the seafarers
 Handling the payroll of the seafarers
 Taking part in an on-call rota system for any after-hours emergencies (approximately 10 weeks/year)
 Being the first point of contact for the Captain of your ships for employment-related queries.

Requirements:
 Bachelor's Degree
 Operational and communication skills
 Organized and meticulous
 Fluent in spoken and written English
 Proficient in the use of MS Word and MS Excel
 Self-motivated and the ability to take initiative
 Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Although the crewing experience will be considered an asset, training will be provided to candidates with the right aptitude.
