Finance Officer

We are looking for a Finance officer for a well known NGO in Malta
  • Daily expense / supplier posting including maintenance of the foundation’s general ledger
  • Understand the various donation types and platforms, take over the CRM database for consolidation
  • Engaging with the foundation’s leaders
  • Monthly management reporting of financial data and donation analysis
  • Carry out end of year reporting for VO submission
  • Closely work with the fundraising team
  • Perform various month-end procedures and reconciliations
  • Manage the Foundation’s donations and report on availability of funds as needed
  • Issue payments, including payroll and vendor invoices
  • Prepare the annual or project specific budgets and assist with long-term forecasts in collaboration with the management team
  • Be the point of contact for employment contracts, local authorities, audit firms, vendor contracts and international expansion projects
  • Assist with other duties assigned by the foundation directors on a case by case basis

Being familiar with bank relationship and international transfer queries,
payroll and contractor payments, auditor queries and financial reporting.

Experience dealing with NGO environment particularly with compliance requirements would be highly desirable. 

Being familiar with Xero sofware 

The right candidate needs to be able to work under pressure and own accord possibly available in case of emergency payments, the work will be executed in coordination with the Founder and Director of the organisation.
