Housekeeping supervisor

The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for managing and directing the daily activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet the hotel's standards of cleanliness and comfort
  • Train new housekeeping staff members on hotel policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation practices
  • Schedule and assign tasks to housekeeping staff, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure guest needs are met promptly and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including room inspections and staff performance evaluations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with guests and staff
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Must have a thorough understanding of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment used in a hotel environment
  • Knowledge of multiple languages is considered an asset
