Our client is one of Malta's leading pharmaceutical distribution companies, representing a diverse portfolio of international pharmaceutical and dermo-cosmetic brands.

As their business continues to expand, they are on the lookout for a dynamic and driven Sales Lead to join their growing team.

This is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the company's sales operations, nurturing customer relationships, guiding the sales team, and ensuring smooth coordination between sales, stock, and reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities


Sales Management & Coordination
  • Oversee the daily operations of the sales department - field-based sales representatives.
  • Coordinate and consolidate weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reports; analyze trends, targets, and team performance.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Track key account performance and support new business development initiatives.

Customer Relationship Management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated customer concerns or strategic discussions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to grow customer accounts and improve service delivery.

Team Leadership, Coaching & Training
  • Mentor, coach, and train sales representatives to ensure performance and professional growth.
  • Organize regular team briefings, one-to-one coaching sessions, and structured sales training programs.
  • Foster a results-driven and supportive team environment.

Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare accurate, timely sales reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis for internal use and management review.
  • Understand and interpret various business reports (sales targets, territory coverage, client feedback, etc.).
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales efficiency and market penetration.

Stock & Inventory Oversight
  • Monitor product stock levels in collaboration with logistics team.
  • Forecast demand based on sales patterns and coordinate the timely ordering of stock together with logistics team.
  • Maintain awareness of product availability, expiry management, and supply chain timelines.
 
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a sales leadership role (Sales Manager, Sales Supervisor, or similar).
  • Strong background in reporting, analytics, and CRM tools.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, strategic thinker with a hands-on, solution-focused approach.
  • Ability to multitask and manage cross-functional responsibilities.
  • Background in pharma, medical, or health-related sectors is a strong advantage.
