Accountant

Overall Purpose
On behalf of a solid and well-established client specialised in private aviation, we are looking for an Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting activities, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain strong financial controls across both customer and supplier accounts.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and process daily transactions
• Handle supplier invoices, customer invoicing, and reconciliations
• Prepare VAT returns and assist with monthly and annual financial reporting
• Monitor budgets, expenses, and financial performance
• Support audits and liaise with external stakeholders
• Manage payroll entries and related filings
• Help improve internal processes and controls

  
Requirements

• Master’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of Maltese accounting and tax regulations
• Experience with accounting tools (SAGE, Spendesk is a plus)
• Advanced Excel skills
